Your initial contact with ‘Choice Bathrooms’ will be handled personally by our friendly and knowledgeable Customer Support Representative who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
You will also be asked a couple of simple questions about your goals and expectations so we can determine if we can provide the solution you are looking to achieve.
Once we are both happy, all our boxes have been ticked, and we are together on the same page, we will invite you to schedule a Bathroom Renovation Assessment with our expert bathroom solutions manager.
Generally, we are able to schedule this appointment within 7 days of when you call… if you have a specific day and time in mind, simply let us know upfront and we will see if we can meet your request.
Once your appointment is made, you will be emailed a confirmation detailing time and place along with name and contact details for your bathroom solutions manager.
STEP 2 – YOUR BATHROOM RENOVATION ASSESSMENT
At our scheduled appointment time your bathroom solutions manager will arrive…on time, in uniform and ready to dedicate whatever is necessary to assist you to achieve your vision.
Your bathroom renovation assessment will be comprehensive and guided by your vision. The purpose is to offer to you the ultimate straightforward, yet professional advice to help you plan your stunning eye-catching new bathroom renovation.
Naturally, the first step we need to take is to measure up your existing bathroom dimensions so we know what we are dealing with and to work from.
Without a doubt, you will have an idea of what you are trying to achieve.
This is your chance to lay out any photos, pictures from magazines, recommendations from friends, and especially your ideas and requirements.
We will also provide you with a vast array of images and photos of bathrooms we have completed for other clients.
From here we can together discuss pros and cons, options and layouts, whilst identifying any potential challenges or opportunities.
To assist when considering fixtures and fittings… we can provide you with a choice of packages we have put together meeting our high standards of quality and reliability… and at very generous prices we have negotiated on your behalf.
Alternatively, you can simply pop into our showroom and one of our professional assistants trained in all aspects of renovation, products and design, will help you select from the huge range of fixtures, fittings and luxury tiles on display.
This way you get peace of mind knowing what you buy will infact fit perfectly with your bathroom renovation plans and come with the guaranteed quality, reliability and warranties you deserve to ensure they will stand the test of time, unlike many of the inferior product being sold in the marketplace these days.
Sometimes we are asked to design and quote a couple of different options. Of course this is not a problem… you’ll find at all times our primary objective is to assist you to create your dream and ultimately add considerable value to your property.
STEP 3 – OUR PROPOSAL AND PRESENTATION OF YOUR 100% FIXED PRICE QUOTE
Armed with all the great ideas and concepts discussed during your Bathroom Renovation Assessment, your design consultant will quickly get to work.
Our first job is to draw up your floor plans to scale and construct your chosen design on our unique 3D Bathroom Design software.
From here we review your chosen fixtures, sizes and shapes to ensure a proportionate layout and fit is achieved.
If in the unlikely event we discover any unforeseen changes to your specifications are required, we’ll be quickly on the blower to you. We’ll offer you advice and options whilst keeping to your ultimate vision.
It’s amazing what can be picked up with our 3D modeling, much better to discover now rather than later, I say.
Once your final plans have been drawn up, we go through a number of checks to determine… if Council Approval is required for any proposed works and… are all proposed plumbing and electrical alterations compliant with the current relevant standards.
We then individually source and price each physical component, fixture, fitting, tiles and of course labour.
Only now, do we formally begin compiling what will become your 100% No Hidden Extras, Fixed Price Quote.
Our proposal and quote will be comprehensive, including colour 3D images of your new bathroom, as well as scale drawings and plans. It will also detail all chosen and included components, as well as any exclusions you may have chosen to directly source.
If your property was constructed prior to 1990, an allowance will already have been made within your quote for asbestos removal. This allowance will be refunded if when tested it is proven asbestos is not present in your bathroom linings.
Within 7 days of your Bathroom Renovation Assessment we will make another appointment to get together and present you with our proposal and to answer any questions you may have.
You’ll find at this time, as always we leave no stone unturned to ensure you have all the information and facts upfront, giving you confidence and certainty to make an informed decision.
STEP 4 - YOUR ACCEPTANCE
You’ve decided ‘Choice Bathrooms’ is the obvious choice to help you create your stunning, new eye-catching bathroom renovation and you’re ready to go ahead. Great choice. Now it’s time to get the formalities out of the way.
We will organize for a time to meet with you to go over your paperwork and make sure you are happy with your chosen design, colours and components.
Rest assured you won’t need a lawyer to decipher our clear, concise and easy to understand contract, which outlines your order and inclusions, along with our standard terms and conditions.
As with any standard construction type contract your total price will be broken down into 5 progress payments (including deposit). Your deposit of 10% of contract price is all that’s required now to get the balls rolling.
And of course to choose your start date from our schedule of availability, or your preferred date if you have a specific date in mind.
If you have chosen to source any fixtures, fittings or tiles yourself, we will give to you a checklist to ensure that you schedule your purchases and deliveries to coincide with the construction timeline for your new bathroom.
STEP 5 – PROJECT SCHEDULING AND PLANNING
This is where it all starts happening behind the scenes while you go about your daily life.
Once your contract has been signed and accepted, your job is entered into our system and all trades scheduled and allocated dates and times on site.
We then immediately place orders for all required materials, components, fixtures, fittings and tiles.
10 days prior to your confirmed start date, you will receive a personal call from your Project Manager who will be overseeing your bathroom renovation from start to finish.
He will make an appointment to visit you to introduce himself and perform a final check measure for accuracy.
He will discuss with you access, bin placement, security measures and any concerns or questions you might have.
He will also present to you our Bathroom Installation Guideline outlining the schedule of tasks, what date they will happen and the relevant tradesperson and contact numbers, so you will know exactly who will be working on your new bathroom and when.
This guideline will also include the dates for scheduled progress payments and required amounts.
If your house was constructed prior to 1990, to comply with health and safety regulations he will also take a small sample of your wall and ceiling linings.
This sample will be sent to an accredited scientific laboratory to test for the presence of asbestos.
All that’s left now is anticipation of the arrival of the demolition crew.
STEP 6 – THE RENOVATION
Here we go!
Day 1 is the day to say goodbye to your old bathroom. By the end of the day, all that will be left is an empty shell. But, let’s not get emotional… in just a couple of weeks your new bathroom will be complete. Stunning, eye-catching… just as you planned.
Rest assured, if testing of your wall linings showed the presence of asbestos… our demolition experts are fully accredited and will ensure removal is performed as required… to protect yours and your family’s, as well as his safety at all times.
Over the coming days your bathroom will be transformed.
There’ll be electricians, carpenters, plumbers, plasterers, water proofers, tilers, cabinetmakers, glaziers and painters amongst others.
Each trade will be friendly, courteous and attentive to your needs.
At the end of each day they will refer to their checklist to ensure all tasks have been completed and checked to meet our expected high standard. They will leave your house clean, safe and secure… just as you would expect.
Typically, an average bathroom renovation will take between 2 and 3 weeks from start to completion.
If at any time during your renovation unforeseen delays occur, you will be immediately notified. Of course, if a delay is a result of any fault of our own… you are fully covered by our $50 Per Day On Time Completion Guarantee.
Your Project Manager will make regular checks on your renovation to ensure quality control is being met and that your job is proceeding smoothly.
STEP 7 – COMPLETION AND HANDOVER
It’s here, the day you’ve been anxiously waiting for.
The tradesmen are gone, the smell of fresh paint is in the air… all that’s left is the final quality check and the final clean.
Rest assured, by the time we’re finished and you’re ready to christen your new bathroom… you won’t even know we’d been there.
All works and fixtures and fittings will be thoroughly checked over and cleaned to ensure your reaction is one of delight.
Your bathroom solutions manager will have made an appointment to meet with you to perform a final handover ensuring your complete satisfaction. And to thank you for your trust, and patience during construction so that your renovation gives you years of maintenance free service.
